Spring Hill Medical Centre

Client Objectives:

To obtain new premises in the centre of Old Arley and achieve certainty in respect of the disposal of the old surgery building.

Brackley delivered a 744 sq m, two-storey facility, which will serve around 10,000 patients. The new medical centre has been built on land formerly owned by North Warwickshire Council. The accommodation provides for:

  • Four GPs and a trainee GP,
  • Four practice nurses,
  • A healthcare assistant and administration staff.

The building includes GP consulting rooms, registrar rooms, training and treatment rooms and a conference room. It has achieved a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rating for environmental performance (as required by NHS Warwickshire) and has been built using sustainable materials with waste reduction a key part of the build process.

The project started on site in November 2011 and was completed and handed over in December 2012.

On completion of the new surgery, Brackley purchased the doctors old building to deliver a certain exit strategy for the doctors.
